VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2000--The Ohio & Southwestern Energy Company (OTCBB:OSWE ; "Ohio") announces that it has secured short term financing to fund and begin execution of the business plan of Strategic Profits Inc's ('SPI").

Initial phase will be the purchase of HP Verifone's Payworks 3 software. The US $500,000 private placement will consists of 1,666,667 units. Each unit will contain one share and one share purchase warrant exercisable within one year at US $2.00 per share. US $340,000 is available to Ohio immediately and the balance of US $160,000 will be available before January 15th 2001.

Ohio is also please to announce the engagement of Coast Market Research, Inc. as their marketing partner.
