Strategic Profits Inc. Releases Beta Version 1.0 of Virtual Point of Sale Terminal
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2001--Strategic
Profits Incorporated, ("SPI") has released
their beta version 1.0 of its Virtual Point of Sale Terminal software.
SPI will have the basic batch virtual POS terminal and recurring
credit card batch software ready for final release by May 7, 2001. SPI
has been a secure payment service provider since 1997, and provider of
e-solutions since 1994.
The Virtual Point of Sale Terminal (VPOS) was created to enter
information for one-time transactions to be processed by the
processing server. Merchants require this convenient interface to
process one-time transactions in bulk. SPI's recurring credit card
transaction batch program is complemented by the VPOS functions, which
can handle a large number of one-time only transactions. For merchants
who prorate the first or last payment of a series of payments (such as
a subscription or ongoing service contract). This eliminates the need
to use two different interfaces to process the customer's credit card.
This also provides a convenient means for merchants who manually
process large numbers of payments to rapidly enter the payment
information for all of their payments and then submit the batch for
processing by our payment server, thereby speeding up the process by
eliminating the need to connect to the authentication host for each
individual payment.
The Virtual Terminal interface is almost identical to the Batch
Processing interface, with the exception of Payment Period
information. All transactions in the Virtual Terminal batch are only
processed once after being uploaded to the payment-processing server.
After they have been processed, the results are viewed using a secure
Web interface as a part of the Batch Processing Reports functions.
This system will work in conjunctions with SPI's existing Verifone
Payworks 3 payment engine and become part of the PayPaq(TM) stable of
payment applications.
"This VPOS application will provide merchants with a simple,
single interface for all of their credit card transaction processing
needs." says Catherine Clarke, President and CEO of
Strategic Profits, Inc., "Merchants can now realize the following
benefits: less manpower -- as re-keying credit card data is no longer
required; less errors -- data is only input once; better record
keeping - management reports are built in; sensitive data can be kept
within one secure and encrypted application."
